How I've been since August 2024

Dear readers,
It's been a while since I've shared anything about my life on here. I've shared reviews of Anime I've watched and Books I've read, I even talked about my new business and announced the launch of our website...but, nothing really about me.

Well, today I want to correct that. I've had some interesting life events in the last couple of months. I'll start with my mom launching her new book, This is not a Discoteke. I begin here because this was the genesis of the news I really want to break. My mom launched her book by holding a series of book readings and at one of these readings I met, wait for it, my current girlfriend.

Yes o! Believe it or not, your boy is now off the market. Since we met at that fateful event, Efena and I have been on several dates and have decided to be exclusive. So, my mom has a new book, and I have a new girlfriend, and, there's more. Remember those courses I mentioned buying back in July, I've started on them. I'm currently working my way through the one on building & running a Digital Marketing Agency, and I'm discovering that it's a boatload of material but also that not all of it is useful to me.

I guess that's what you get for buying something just because it was on sale and seemed relevant. Next time I'll try to do a bit more research before I invest my hard-earned cash. That said, it's not all bad. There are definitely some tips and tricks I'm learning that are useful. Plus, I'm only partway through. I also still have the Copywriting course to take. So there's still value to be uncovered.

At the same time, I'm reading a new book: Can't Hurt Me - How to Master Your Mind & Defy the Odds. Written by a Navy Seal, the book tells the story of his life while simultaneously sharing challenges that one can embark on to achieve the same results he has. It's an extremely motivating book. Not just because it poses challenges, but because the man's life story is one of overcoming adversities. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for strategies to help them improve their lives. Just as it was recommended to me by my friend Damilola Jagun. You can look forward to my review once I'm done reading it.

Finally, as we begin Q4, remember that my birthday is around the corner and that the end of the year is too. November 12th is my birthday o, let me not hear "I forgot." But more importantly, as we come to the end of the year, how are your goals looking? Were you able to accomplish what you set out to in 2024?

Let me just confess my own. My results are looking mediocre right now. So I'm hoping to use these last 3 months to shore things up. If you're in the same boat as me, then at least you know you are not alone. I'm in the fight with you. So here's to ending 2024 strong 💪 . Let us close out the year putting our best feet forwards.

Sincerely,
Damola M.
