Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria

Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria or in English Wistoria's Wand and Sword records the last year of study for students in the graduating class of Regarden Magic Academy. This year is the student Mages' last chance to get promoted to the next level of Wizarding study, be it a higher point on the Wizard's tower, or the apex, where the 5 greatest mages (the Magia Vander) gather.

Will is one such student Mage and along with his childhood best friend Elfaria, dreams of becoming one of the Elite Magia Vander. However, unlike Will, Elfaria has proven to be a Wizarding genius and has already advanced to become one of the Magia Vander while Will discovers that he has absolutely no Magical powers at all.

But all is not lost, because Will still has one option to keep his promise to join the Magia Vander with Elfaria. Defeating the monsters lurking in the underground dungeon beneath the tower. By doing this, he can earn course credits based on the strengths of the monsters defeated. As fate would have it, Will turns out to be blessed with an exceptional physique and is able to learn combat skills that allow him to best the monsters he faces.
