On Patriotism

On Patriotism

Patriotism as with Nepotism, has no justification.

I don't know much about my country,
But there was a time, I thought I knew.

I don't know much about my country.
Yet I love it, more than most do.

I've only seen 6 of 36 states,
I've always had food, served on my plate
I haven't struggled,
I haven't travelled,
I've always lived, in nice estates

So I don't know enough about my country
To even get, a passing grade

And I don't know enough about my country
To be qualified, to say:

It's the greatest place I'll ever see
The bestest place, I'm sure, for me
Though I have come here
And I might stay here
There's no place, I'd rather be.
